Bill's Notes

Thanks
Thank you for the prayers and best wishes. It took about six harrowing days, but my mother did get better. Turns out there's no permanent damage, but she does have one more thing to monitor and watch out for. At least for the time being, she dodged a bullet.

One more thing: Nurses are saints.

Thanks again.

Having been through this "is it or is it not?" many times, there seemed no choice than to pray for your mom Margaret, your sister and you. It is wonderful to hear the "bullet dodged" news. The waiting room of ICU can seem like a Bosch painting.

And also "good on you" for all that happened in Orlando. One of those "cognitive shorts" that takes place when a sense of urgency/fear/danger kicks in times of uncertainty.

Not all nurses are saints, but concur emphatically that the good ones have earned their wings the hard way. They have to do their work, deal with the doctors, and soothe folks like us.

Agree nurses are saints. I always thought highly of them, but until you've been up close and personal with them for days or weeks at a time, I don't think you can truly appreciate everything they do. It's got to be the toughest job on earth.

Glad to hear things are better.
