Strange
Have you ever had this experience? You firmly believe something to be true. You take a big risk based on your belief. And then, when it turns out to be actually true, you're surprised. Is there a word for that? ["Dumb luck" doesn't count.] From what I understand, engineers have this experience each time something actually works.
