On Romantic Despair
What do I find in this morning's quick blog perusal? A subject that's been close to my heart lately (I went through a 43rd birthday as a single): romantic despair. Here's what started it.. And then some others chime in.

Outstanding posts. I have to admit that Fran is on to something with the advice in the giant red letters. Moxie is onto something with her "marriage is dead" discussion. And I understand Charles' pre-rejection mindset. I'm deeply sympathetic to the sentiments that generated these posts.

Some people are very good at being single. Maybe you are one of them. Maybe you need to break out of your cyber-cell and do something about it, rather than lamenting about what could have been. I hope you find happiness soon.

I now know 4 couples that have broken up recently, each after numerous years of marriage. It always involved an affair. So --- as mid-life crises strike down these marriages, may be they'll be more available people on the market.

Good luck.

Visit Alabama. There's something to be said for low standards.

Not a bad idea. I barnstormed through the south in 91 and 93 and had a pretty good time both times. Since then I've stuck to 95.
