How Liberal Or Conservative Are You?

Apparently I'm fairly moderate. Except on defense and crime; at which point, I go totally Jacksonian.

on ethics you're 75 percent Liberal?

Wow - I would have last that bet.

Well - welcome to the Moonbats Club, Bill!
Come on in, the waters fine.

45% conservative and 55% liberal.... the middle path is so narrow.

Well, there were four questions and I answered three in the apparent "liberal" fashion.

I said that everyone has a right to healthcare, even if they can't afford it. Actually, I don't think anyone has a right to healthcare, but I believe society has a responsibility to provide healthcare to those who can't afford it. But such subtleties are not allowed in multiple choice exams. I would certain agree with the concept of a "right to healthcare" more than a concept of "let the poor bleed to death in the street."

I also didn't agree that corporations only have a responsibility to their shareholders ... businesses have equal responsibilities to their community, shareholders, employees and customers. And that's pretty much a mainstream view from a business perspective, IMHO.

I also said True on "all authority, by its very nature, should be questioned." While I agreed, what I meant is you always have a responsibility to think ... but I don't agree that you have some kind of duty to challenge authority all the time, be an agitator, or obstructionist. But I would say when you allow someone to have authority over you, yes, you need to know why and keep your eyes open.

Oh, the fourth ethics question was abortion. Guess I came out conservative on that one :)

Bill -

The questions were quasi-loaded - like the "all authority." So, I don't really think you're getting soft. I did, however, say "No" for the everyone has a right to health care. To say "Yes" is a classic guns and butter position, shame on you.

Bill -

What's wrong with guns and butter? The deficit! Sheesh - money doesn't grow trees you know (bless their CO2 consuming leaves). You liberals are all the same.
