I kind of agree with the 'don't date single women with dogs' bit. Mostly because they end up being your dogs, housetrained, disciplined, non-barking, et cetera, or the reverse - and as the dog was around before you, it may be a tough argument if it turns out the dog is incompatible with civilized life. I think that there may be more reasons too, ones tough to quantify in a post...

Doesn't mean that I haven't broken that rule - but I wonder what Dr K had against women with dogs. On the side, I know a very nice woman who recently moved across the country with her dog to live with a lovely man in hopes of a long term relationship. Turns out her dog barks most all the time. I am waiting to see what happens next, and if Dr K called it.
