Memo to Democrats
Granted, it's still way early. But you've got a big, big, big opportunity to retake Congress and make gains in the Senate.

You've overthrown Tom Delay and Bush's numbers are in the dumper and there's war fatigue and rising gas prices. It's the political equivalent of a slow, fat, hanging curveball. All you need to do is hit it.

And for once, I think you guys just might pull it off. The key is to sound thoughtful, moderate, reasonable, responsible ... you know, like adults. It would help if you can some actual, card-carrying adults among your politicians, instead of a bunch of weenie women. But there are adult Democrats ... somewhere. They're probably in some place like Minnesota, Ohio or Wisconsin.

:)

Ok, the dems do want to cut and run from Iraq, so on that they're at least on the "right" side. But democrats would want to increase gas prices, not decrease them.

... slow, fat, hanging BEACH BALL AS BIG AS A BUS. But, alas, I have to say that I don't think the DNC has fully realized they can significantly alter reality right now. Worse yet, while I'm semi-loath to agree with you on politics ... the key really is to sound thoughtful, moderate, reasonable, and responsible. (Or at least more so than GW).

(I would however disagree that Democrats overthrew DeLay - he just crawled so far out on the limb the branch finally broke off under his weight).
