Bill's Notes

Good news for the country
Howard Dean comes in a distant third in Iowa.

I'm glad to see the Democrats vote for sensible candidates such as John Kerry and John Edwards.

Dean is a pathetic little man, provincial, arrogant and immature. He should go back to medicine, where being an insufferable ass isn't such a liability.

Did you see Howard Dean's response? Or the way that the drudge report titled it "Howard Dean Goes Nuts"?

Yeah, I saw Drudge. He was really funny. Howard Dean has that look, you know, that really crazy look in his eye. So when he starts to get enthusiastic, he looks insane. Imagine Steve Forbes on a benzedrine high. You got Howard Dean last night.

I was afraid he'd melt down after the nomination -- it only took Iowa. Of course, there's a long way to go.

Yeah, I can only wait to see what he's like after the other states. Still, Iowa was never likely to be his strong state, and it's only claim to importance is that it comes first. I suspect that Howard Dean will do best in California and New York; it will be interesting to see how he does there, and in other blue states (assuming that I have the color coding correct for democrat states).

Yeah, you're probably right that he'll win California -- but isn't that last? By then someone else may have it in the bag. It should be an interesting six weeks.
