Got some great songs. But wow, what a crappy name for a band.

Many are ambivalent, deep inside, about the decisions made the past seven years in the White House. But they've publicly supported it so long they think they . . . support it. They get confused. In the past eight years, we've seen the resurgence of unapologetic leftism -- and that worries me. Read Theodore Dalrymple's Life at the Bottom and Our Culture: What's Left of It to see where we our country will be heading if cultural leftism gets mixed with real political power. It ain't pretty.

That was my thought after John McCain's global-warming speech.

Yeah, I disappeared for a week. Started updating, got y'all thinking I was posting regularly, and then ... gone for another week. I reckon I didn't have much to say. Things have been going pretty well, thank God.
